Vacation Learning: Road Trip to Canada (6/12/15)

After our visit to Algonquin Provincial Park we needed a day to recuperate energy, worry about our mosquito bites, and pack our stuff for the way out.
The kids were eager to work with their Ontario learning folders.  They checked off the animals we saw at the park.  In order of appearance, we saw chipmunk, geese, rabbit, fox, snapping turtle, beaver's house, deer, turkey (and cute little babies), fish, loon, and 2 moose.

That afternoon, Little Guy met his penpal in person.  He has been exchanging letters with another 4 year old who lives in the Georgian Bay area.  His friend (and his lovely family) met us at Elephant Thoughts for some playtime. It was great to meet another home learning family that shares vision. Meeting them gave our trip an added purpose .

We finished the day at the pool again.  We were refreshing the mind and soul for another adventures to come.
