We had a few simply gorgeous days. The kids spent a lot of time outside playing in the yard.
On Thursday, we covered just the bare basics. They read books, and wrote in their journals. Little Guy wrote about the nature center we visited on Wednesday. He brought home a shell he found by the creek.
Big Sister wrote two entries. The first one is about playing car races in the driveway with her neighbors, and going to Dairy Queen for ice-cream.
The second one is about going to the nature center. She was trying to skip a rock, and spotted a furry wild animal.
Little Guy did some Math. He is working on counting by twos.
In the afternoon, we headed over to the Discovery Center in Rockford. We met some friends to play and explore. The kids were interested in the telegram, playing at the park, and the big doll house pictured above.
May sneaked up on us!
On Friday, we had another relaxing day. In the morning we visited a rummage sale. Back at home, Little Guy was excited to write about the little toy robot he bought with his own money. Big Sister wrote about going to the museum and playing with her friend.
Both kids had two swimming lessons on Friday night. At the end of the class, the swim school had a special presentation to talk to the kids about water safety.
