For Friday's therapy session, Big Sister packed 2 portions of a regular lunch that she would eat at home. One portion was for her, the other was for her therapist.
They had chicken nuggets with honey, cooked baby carrots and broccoli, cantaloupe, apples and strawberries, and milk.
Big Sister did well. Her therapist is still assessing how she behaves during mealtimes. While eating the chicken she kept on chewing it on one side of her mouth. This is a behavior that I have noticed before. The therapist told me to remind her to move her food from one side of her mouth to the other, and to also take sips of her drink to help her break down her food. We will be using these reminders at home too.
