Friday: Feeding Therapy Update

We have been busy the past few days preparing for spring break and Little Guy's fourth birthday.  More of that on a post to come.

Foods for the last session: Broccoli (fresh and cooked), sloppy joe, bread, carrots (fresh and cooked) dressing, oranges, and pineapples.
Starting with this session, the focus of  the therapy is changing.  Before, the goal was to help Big Sister try new foods. It included many foods she had rejected before.  I have to say that the therapy has helped her tremendously.  She is willing and even self-driven when it comes to exploring new foods.  But then, she got used to only trying it.  She would take one or two bites and that was it.  It is a great improvement, but since she is now comfortable, we want her to move from trying food to eating the full serving. With the help from her wonderful therapist, we can see her moving down the healthy eating road.
During her session, she loved the Sloppy Joe! On our way out, she asked me to make her another one (which she ate in the car)!  She prefers cooked vegetables, and is not too fond of fruits. The greatest accomplishment, is the fact that she ate all the cooked broccoli, carrots, and Sloppy Joe!
