Big Sister went to the grocery store on Thursday to choose some fruits for her next therapy session.
On Friday morning, she was cutting fruits and packing nuts. Taking the pictures has helped me stay out of her way. She truly enjoys being able to put her lunchbox together on her own.
She had: blueberries, peanut butter, almonds, cashews, peanuts, strawberries (again) honey plum, watermelon, and bananas.
We also had her try a chicken noodle soup from Panera. She tried everything, and liked the soup and honey plum.
My favorite part is her big smile at the end of the session. She is very proud of her own accomplishments. She has learned not to be upset about new food, and instead, be curious about it.
At home we are re-introducing everything she is having in her class. We still need to get her to prepare more food on a regular basis. The entire family is definitively eating better because of her feeding therapy.
As a side note:
On Thursday, both kids had their horseback riding lessons. They enjoy brushing the horse as much as they enjoy riding it.
